Tracing the Pathway explore the relationships between memory, site, body and documentation. All work is underpinned by notions of the archive as an encapsulation of experience where paradigms of performance aid the re-presentation of a document through embodied interaction. Through this re-embodiment events are transformed into the present space, creating an on-going dialogue between the past, present and future in a communal space. We embrace the subjectivity of individual memory as individual interpretations of events, adding multiple layers that ultimately reflect the complexity of human existence.
In April 2013 Tracing the Pathway presented a paper on their work at the conference Performing Document at the Arnolfini, Bristol. Download paper here
