Performing the Archive: Workshop
Body – Memory – Site – Encounter
Performing the Archive is an ongoing workshop/performance investigating the notions of archiving through memory, imagination and encounters. Working inside and outside, the workshop looks upon the body and public sites as potential archives, as well as the archive as a potential site; questioning the archive as a fixed entity – by attempting to view it as an open resource in constant flux. Through tasks, devising exercises and documentations, the workshop invites participants to an open dialogue and exploration of the notions of body, site and archive, and how these notions might function within a performative context.
